We've unloaded lots of stuff in the past year. But it's far from all gone. In particular, years ago I collected Quimper pottery. The trouble with a collection is that, even when you're done collecting (as I have been for many years), you still have the collection.
I'd love not to have it anymore, so from time to time I'll mention aspects of it that might be of interest to folks who sail through here via search engines. Paul Fouillen (see a beautiful table where dessert plates of his design are used) was a particular interest, mostly for his Celtic designs. Worthpoint has some recent examples of his things; some are similar to mine. If you're interested, let me know. I'll get around to posting some photos.
Nieces and nephews and other young friends, I have a number of Franciscan Ware sets. Yours for the asking. Tons of vases, too, some with family stories attached.
These are lovely things, but I don't use them. It's either this, or a trip to Chaco Canyon, where for one thing the ancients made magnificent pottery for the purpose of smashing it as an offering. Like I said, it's either this or...
This is just a mean post. My lustful urgings are making me drool. ;)
Am familiar with the Quimper. Surely eBay would be a good source for making some cash with it, don't you think? Or are you at the point of truly just wingin' it?
I understand. Would like to put a dumpster up to our attic and begin to purge.

I am pretty well wingin' it. Been there, done that with selling on ebay (did books when ebay was new and shiny) and just don't think I want to deal with it. Thought about joining one of the Quimper forums and even about sticking up a craigslist ad. But I think I'm wingin' it.
Truly, I keep imagining a moving truck following my hearse to the cemetery, and it doesn't work. Ya know?
Is there anything you'd love?

I'd adore a piece of the Quimperware. Let's email about it, 'kay?

Hi there, have been looking for yellow Quimper dinner settings and also vintage tea sets for awhile. Am I right in understanding you're looking to unload? Thanks!! Have a great day.

No dinner settings and no tea sets, alas -- but a huge number of vintage decorative pieces.
